I just uploaded this a few days ago and I cant even get past the beginning because there is a glitch with my knight. For some reason he will only hit facing left. So when he is introduced and you need to hit the boards covering the door with your sword to get through, I cant because they are on the right of the screen and he will only hit facing the left, no matter which direction I have him going… Mad I paid money for it to not work.

I lie this game for the most part and it is very captivatingly addicting , only problem is when you quit the game you loose all your progress and that is why I give it a four star .

This game is definitely 4 stars at $10. I would be 5 stars at less than $10, and 3 stars over $20. The storyline and graphics are really top notch. No complaints. The gameplay is smooth and I never encountered a bug - really well designed. The reason this game does not get 5 stars is because it is a linear progression game, the characters can only move down one path (think pitfall or mario). If they had made that really clear up front, I would have been expecting it and would have loved it for what it is, but I expected more diversity. All-in-all, Its a great game at a great price.

It does freeze up once in awhile but other than that it is Awesome!:) Sometimes it has a little hard time loading. But it is totally worth the price. Its great for all people who like chalenges!

I tried maxing out the settings for this game on my 15" rMBP and apparently the game didnt scale well at all. Cant complain since I only paid $2.99 for a great game. But still, I would like to see this game scale better on the Retina display. In order to play, I had to spend a few mins messing around with the resolution settings to see what worked.

The sellers name is "Frozenbyte" and thats exactly what it is!! Its a frozen piece of junk that doesnt even complete its download before it freezes and stops. I bought this game a few days ago looking for a new, fun game to try out on my computer and it only downloads half way until it says "error has occurred"!! I have tried downloading it three times already and every single time it stops and doesnt complete at all. What a waste of money!! Im glad it was only $2, but I still couldve used that to buy something else that actually works for me! Completely disappointed.

I cannot play it on my macbook retina. It is not scaled properly for an update on the game has yet to be released. Its a pity I cant play it. I was looking forward to it.

Only part of the gaming screen shows on the new Mac book Pros making playing the game impossible. I wrote support and they answered me of fixing the game enough to play but in low resolution and low quality graphics. This game would be rated a 5 star rating if it werent for this issue. Here is the fix incase you experience the same issues given to me by them: For Trine 1 we dont yet have an update so the only way to play that is to use a lower resolution like 1280x720 (I think that works), or choose to use the Intel integrated graphics card. To do that, disable automatic graphics card switching in the energy saving preferences. Hopefully they will fix this issue soon, meanwhile I dont recommend the game to people with newer Retina displays.

This game can capture your attention for hours, even after beating the game you can go back in each level and find experience and treasures that you missed the first time. The graphics are outstanding and the music is good. I appreciate the linear concept of the game. It did take me a while to get used to the keyboard and mouse but I did get it down and was able to beat the game. Liked it so much I bought the second version as well and thoroughly enjoyed it as well beating it in about the same time it took to master this version.

Good price, good game BUT doesnt support RETINA….highest graphic resolution is 1440 x 900 :(

this game is so challenging and im always up to a challenge but anyway the charecters are so good the Graphics are better then ever! :D

Graphics took my breath, mind = blown

I just bought a mac mini and so far, some of the games here, make that most of the games here plays good on my mac mini with its basic spec. But this game is just solid. The graphics is amazing, control is fluid, and almost zero lag. Highly recommended. And nice story telling too. Kudos to the developers. Im buying Trine 2 right now!

I am unable to play this game with any of the available screen resolutions. The game starts off screen and freezes after the initial developer credit appears. I really hoped to play this game, but I wasted this investment. Please fix this issue! I use a retina MBP. Maybe this is why. This may be a case of incompatibility with my screen, but I presume this would work for other Macs as per the reviews here.

Bought this game for 99 cents, worth every penny of it! It has kept me entertained for days. At first I wasnt going to buy it cause Im not a huge fan of "games" But I was said what the heck, its 99 cents. Glad I did! Now that I know what its about, I would even pay around $5.00 for it if I had to again.

The game is visually nice, but not terribly intellectually stimulating. You have three characters who move through various rather similar environments. Its a good diversion, but the main problem is that you need to totally complete a level in order for your progress to be saved. If you dont, you end up repeating the same areas. So if you want to play for a short time, you cant save your progress. It gets tiresome to keep repeating the same section.

Downloaded on my 15" rMBP and the game doesnt accomodate the retina display. Despite running at full screen, you only see part of the actual game. Ive messed around with changing resolutions, but nothing seems to work so far.

my second favorite game on mac, right after starcraft 2

This game really has amazing graphics and the story is great. But when i play at least 5 minutes in the fans on my retina pro 15 reallly start to kick in and make some loud noises. (I even put the settings on low)

The game is great except for the controller support is horrible, especially for the ps3 controller button mapping is glitchy and not correct, and the default settings do not even match what you show on the screen in the first stages for tutorial for the game controllers. This is a big issue as platformers are better with controllers please fix
